We opend our shop in September 2021
To help protect the community and the wellbeing and safety of famlies living in these communities
During the first lockdown of the covid pandemic i found myself out of work due to disabilities
this gave me time to think about my future plans to get back into work, I had nothing but push backs until a family member asked for my help
The family member wanted some cctv installing on their home so togther we purchased some cctv equipment and installed it due to the family
member having hassle from an ex partner and needed to get some evidence against them
This had a possitive outcome for them and now they
live a normal peacefull life
After that other members of the family and some friends asked us for the same and now they all find them selves having a much better and
safer life helping them with their mental wellbeing ie sleeping better at night, not having a fear of going out due to panicing over the safety of
the home and seeing this improvement on peoples mental health gave me the push i needed to do something and give back to our communities
I then placed a notice on social media asking peoples views on how this service could help them
This had an over whelming response and many people / families signed up for it
So started to plan how we could put this in place and came up with the community support programe designed to help victims and families on
low incomes
Our aim wasnt to make money from this service we just wanted to give something back to our communities
so we decided putting a small charge for customers wanting to rent the systems whom wasnt a victim of crime so we kept the cost for them down
to a minimumon our services to cover some cost
As a non profit service any monies collected will go back into helping more families and more communities
Since the opening of our shop we have had a large demand for this service and due to cost of equipment and other running cost
we are finding it hard to keep up with the demand
This is were we ask for your help if you can spare just a little bit as a donation we and many victims and families would be very grateful
In 2021, fueled by a deep commitment to community safety, Darren Innocent founded Community Eye, a unique initiative
focused on aiding victims of crime and domestic violence.
At the heart of this endeavor was a simple yet powerful solution – providing victims with free loan CCTV systems to restore their sense of security and empower them on their journey towards healing.
Chapter 1: A Vision of Empowerment
Darren's journey with Community Eye began with a vision to empower victims of crime and domestic violence.
Recognizing the transformative potential of technology, he aimed to leverage CCTV systems not just as a security measure but as a tool to instill confidence and control in the lives of those who had experienced trauma.
Chapter 2: Bridging the Safety Gap
Community Eye's mission was clear: to bridge the safety gap for victims by offering a tangible and practical solution.
The organization provided victims with temporary access to CCTV systems, allowing them to monitor and secure their homes. This initiative aimed to restore a sense of safety, privacy, and peace of mind.
Chapter 3: The Impact on Lives
The impact of Community Eye was felt on a personal level as stories emerged of lives transformed. Victims shared how the provision of CCTV systems not only enhanced their physical security but also contributed to emotional healing, providing a layer of protection that extended beyond the physical realm.
Chapter 4: Partnerships for a Safer Community
To extend its reach and effectiveness, Community Eye forged partnerships with local law enforcement, shelters, and support organizations. These collaborations ensured a holistic approach to victim support, combining the technology-driven solutions with community resources and counseling services.

Victims were provided with training and support to effectively use the systems, empowering them to take control of their surroundings. The organization also facilitated connections with local tech experts for ongoing assistance.
Chapter 6: Breaking Financial Barriers
Understanding the financial constraints faced by victims, Community Eye operated as a non-profit, relying on donations, grants, and community support. This approach allowed the organization to remove financial barriers, ensuring that all victims, regardless of their economic situation, could benefit from the program.
Chapter 7: Stories of Resilience and Hope
Community Eye became a symbol of resilience and hope within the community. Victims, once burdened by fear, found a renewed sense of agency through the program. The organization celebrated not only the tangible impact of enhanced security but also the intangible benefits of restored confidence and independence.
